Environmental Policy
Apollo Fire Detectors Limited is a world leader in the design,
manufacture and sale of commercial grade fire detectors and
associated products. In order to keep and build on this position,
Environmental Management is of paramount importance:
All who work at Apollo have a common interest in the care of the
environment and the prevention of pollution.
Apollo seeks to minimise waste, promote recycling, reduce energy
consumption, prevent pollution and, where possible, to work with
Suppliers who themselves have sound environmental policies.
An essential feature of our Environmental Management System is a
commitment to continually improving our environmental performance.
This is achieved by setting environmental improvement objectives
which are subsequently ratified at the annual Environmental
Management System Review Meeting.
These Objectives are then reviewed/revised on a quarterly basis
at our EMS Committee Meetings.
These objectives and targets are then publicised to all Apollo
staff.
Apollo is committed to comply with all applicable legal and
other requirements to which we subscribe which relate to our
environmental aspects.
Apollo maintains systems to ensure legislative compliance,
operate to official guidance and to appropriate industry best
practice.
In order to ensure the achievement of the above commitments,
Apollo has implemented an Environmental Management System which has
been assessed and certificated as meeting the requirements of BS EN
ISO 14001:2004. To download a PDF of our
certificate, please click here.
This policy and the obligations and responsibilities required by
the Environmental Management System have been communicated to all
employees. This Policy is available to the public on our website www.apollo-fire.co.uk
